Day 24: Greed Chokes Grace  

Read Acts 5:1-11  

Ananias and Sapphira’s tragic story reminds us of a hard truth: greed can choke the flow of God’s grace in our lives. While others gave sacrificially, this couple held back, pretending to be more generous than they were. Their hearts were divided—more committed to their possessions than to God’s mission.  

Greed is sneaky. It tempts us to cling tightly to what we have, convincing us that we can’t afford to give. But when we hold on too tightly, we miss the joy of trusting God and experiencing His provision. Greed creates barriers to the grace-filled life God wants for us.  

Reflect on where greed might be sneaking into your heart. Ask God to help you release anything that’s keeping you from experiencing the fullness of His grace.

Are there areas where you’ve been tempted to hold back from God? How can you let go of greed and trust Him more fully?  

PRAY 
Lord, I confess that greed sometimes creeps into my heart. Help me to let go and trust You completely. Free me to give generously and experience the joy of Your grace. Amen.
