Day 15: Belonging in God’s Family  

Read: Ephesians 2:19-22  
The story of the Ethiopian eunuch’s conversion in Acts 8 is a beautiful testament to God’s plan for belonging. Despite societal labels and barriers, the eunuch found his place in God’s family because belonging is God’s idea. The gospel message Philip shared bridged the gap and made way for the eunuch’s inclusion. But belonging doesn’t happen by accident. The eunuch chose to respond, and Philip chose to embrace him.

In the same way, God’s family is a place where everyone is welcomed, but we have to actively embrace and include others. Our unity comes from God, and it’s held together by the power of the gospel. Listen again to these words in Ephesians 2:19. Imagine that they are aimed at you, that they are for you. YOU belong!

How can you make someone feel like they belong in God’s family today? What steps can you take to show that the gospel unites us all?

Father, thank you for making a place for me in your family. Help me to extend that same grace and welcome to others. Let my actions reflect your love and the power of the gospel. Amen.
